We all need a holiday, and your holiday is more relaxed when your dog is in safe hands with plenty of human company and mental stimulation.

Your dog's accommodation is never cramped, overcrowded or noisy. You have just found the perfect boarding environment for your dog.

Here at Beech Grove Boarding Kennels we aim to do everything possible to make sure your dog feels so at home and relaxed that they have a great holiday.

Facilities

Space to run, rest and be looked after

All dogs must be fully vaccinated, including kennel cough, prior to boarding.

Two acre play area

Your dog is exercised in 6 large grass paddocks, three times every day.

40ft runs & heated kennels

Individual dogs are accommodated in 40ft long runs by day and individual heated kennels by night.

Vet on call

A vet visit service is available too — if you're tied up in work we can bring your dog to your appointment.

Familiar comforts

To help your dog settle in, bring along a toy or another item they know well.

Vaccinations

What to bring on arrival

Bring up to date vaccination cards plus any medication and/or special dietary food.

Please note that all dogs boarding must show proof of up to date vaccination certificates, including kennel cough, on their first day of boarding. If we do not see up to date vaccination records including the kennel cough vaccination, we will refuse dogs for boarding without exception.

Dogs collected after 1.00pm on the agreed day of pick-up will be charged an additional day's fee.

These are daily charges. If your dog stays beyond 12.00 noon the following day, you will be charged for a second day.

Our reception is not open for arrivals or departures on Christmas Day, St Stephen's Day and New Year's Day — however we are still taking care of your pets.

Questions & answers

What do we need to bring with us?

Please bring your dog's up-to-date vaccination card, any medication, and a collar with your dog's name and your contact details. If your dog is on a special diet, you are welcome to bring their own food too.

What happens if a dog gets sick?

We have a vet on call who knows our kennels well. If your dog needs veterinary attention while staying with us, we will contact you and any fees will be added to your boarding bill.

Security

Beech Grove is fully fenced and gated. Dogs are exercised in secure paddocks under personal supervision, and the premises are locked outside of opening hours.

Do dogs go for a walk?

Dogs enjoy exercise in our large open green runs three times every day. They are always under personal supervision and can play safely with dogs of a similar size.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes. We feed a good-quality diet as standard, but if your dog has specific needs or simply prefers their usual food, bring it along and we will feed it exactly as you instruct.

Do we take dogs of all ages?

We welcome dogs of all ages, from lively youngsters to settled seniors. Puppies must have completed their full vaccination course before boarding.

Can we come for a look around?

Of course. We encourage prospective customers to visit during our opening hours to see the facilities and meet us before making a booking.

Do you take dogs on medication?

Yes, we are happy to administer prescribed medication. Please bring it clearly labelled with your dog's name and written dosage instructions.

Worms and fleas dosing?

All dogs must be up to date with worm and flea treatment. This helps keep every guest healthy and comfortable during their stay.

Opening hours?

Our reception is open for arrivals and departures Monday to Sunday, 9.00am – 12.00pm and 5.00pm – 6.30pm. We are closed for drop-offs and collections on Christmas Day, St Stephen's Day and New Year's Day.

Do I need a collar with my dog's name?

Yes, please make sure your dog is wearing a collar with their name and your contact phone number. This is a simple safety measure we ask of all guests.

Terms & conditions

    All dogs are accepted by us on the condition that they are not suffering from any infectious condition. We will only take dogs that have been vaccinated (including kennel cough). A vaccination certificate is required from any vet.

    We need to be advised of any health problems when booking your dog with us.

  3. 03

    A letter from your vet will be required if your dog shows any signs of recent illness, such as sores or bald patches.

  4. 04

    Any veterinary fees paid by us for your dog will be added to your fee on your return.

    While we make every effort to provide for the safety and well being of your dog, we accept no responsibility for any accident or misadventure that may happen while your dog is in our care.
